Session Description: All HRSA-recognized Health Centers must continuously comply with all Health Center Program Requirements as outlined in the Health Center Program Compliance Manual and Site Visit Protocol. HRSA’s Health Center Program Requirements continue to serve as the foundation for the Health Center Program. HRSA continues to assess compliance through conducting Operational Site Visits (OSV). In 2025, the OSV has largely occurred as a hybrid visit, with consultants and federal representatives attending both onsite and virtually.
This session will feature the unique perspective of three independent OSV reviewers – governance/admin, fiscal, and clinical reviewer – who will provide a true “boots-on-the ground” perspective of OSVs from start to finish. Faculty will highlight strategies for preparing for and going through an OSV, staff and board roles during the OSV, what to expect during the Compliance Resolution Opportunity (CRO) process, the five key pre- and post-CRO findings, and tips for maintaining continuous compliance. This moderated panel will also highlight some case studies on what the high-performing Health Centers look like in terms of Health Center Program compliance.
Attendees will leave this session feeling more prepared for the OSV and ready to create a culture of both continuous compliance and performance improvement at your Health Center.
